Metal eyelets from namensbaender.de
Our eyelets are completely made of robust metal and are available in different colours. They are very easy to process. Due to their easy workability, they are ideally suited for sewing at home but also for use in trade and industry.
The metal eyelets can be processed with our hand press or with Vario pliers from Prym
How many parts make up a metal eyelet?
A metal eyelet consists of a coloured eyelet body and a silver counterplate.
What material thicknesses are the metal eyelets suitable for?
The metal eyelets can be used for all materials. The only important thing is that you can make a hole in the material through which you can thread the shaft of the eyelet body. Fabrics and artificial leather can be processed up to a thickness of approx. 3.5 mm - leather up to a thickness of approx. 2.8 mm.
How is a metal eyelet attached?
The prerequisite is that a hole with a diameter of approx. 5.5 mm is present in the material. When using our leather labels, you can insert this hole directly in the configuration of the leather labels. When using more flexible materials (e.g. leather up to a thickness of approx. 2 mm) you can use our punch pliers with 4.5 mm perforation.
1. Place the eyelet body on the hand press stamp with the coloured side facing down so that the shaft faces up.
2. Now thread the hole in your material over the shaft of the eyelet body.
3. Then thread the counter plate over the shaft of the eyelet body so that the rounding points downwards.
4. Now press the hand press to stop.
Note:
For very thin fabrics it is advisable to iron on an ironing pad for reinforcement.
